Why won't his father let him preach?

He cannot teach the Bible either, but he may still be a member of the church and participate in other ministries. But he can never preach or teach again.
Jacob is showing his arrogance big time by taking a position of associate pastor in another church, and his father and the Sr. Pastor of the new church knows about the affair. I think he hired him to kill two birds with one stone - expose the son of his sexual sin and therefore disgrace the father. And destroy the rival church.

shareOf course it isn't okay to shoot someone! The whole family has fallen too far to preach, for that matter!

I wonder how many churches would be standing if that rule was adhered to? The catholic religion has a lot rules (that nobody abides by), and the other christian religions are very 'forgiving'...all you have to do is confess as the Bishop said.
I'm hooked on this series too. But they really keep it 'real'. I'll bet, as the series progresses, we shall see that everybody has sinned in some way. Gigi has had a baby out of wedlock and they are looking to make her the temporary head pastor. share
