I totally agree, paytonmal! He has never received the accolades he deserved. I love that voice. If I had not seen him all these years in so many different roles, as an actor, I would believe he had been a real minister. He plays it so well!

reply

He's working a great deal as a narrator with that grace voice. Some of Ken Burns documentaries feature his voice work.

One of his best performances.

He was hilarious as the bloated, money-grubbing pastor on the astronomically underappreciated Black Jesus this past season.

He too me( james) is the star of the show. great acting.

Keith David has always been awesome, even in his voice acting.

I have EXORCISED the demon

reply

YES!!! I can identify that magnificent voice even in voice-overs--before the credits roll.

reply

His acting skills as "Kirby" are sublime in the underrated film Dead Presidents. Excellent actor with a great voice!

He really is phenomenal in this role. He's perfectly cast.

reply

Yes he is. I always get him and David Keith mixed up.

reply

How is that? David Keith is the guy that played Richard Gere's sidekick in An Officer and a Gentleman.

reply

Their names mixed up. I forgot which to call them.
