What the hell happened to Lynn Whitfield's face?!

Ladies please no more botox!

reply

LOL....I didn't think of botox. She used to have dimples that made up a really pretty face. All character lines seem to be missing. Could that be the botox, or just a natural aging process?

reply

A bit of both has probably happened though I think it's aging. Like most actors, she may have been saying she was younger than she really is back in the day and now it's all catching up to her. Still very glad to see her. She was so good in How To Get Away With Murder and she's good in this.

I couldn't get past her eyebrows. She looks like The Cowardly Lion. When I saw her hairline, all I could think was, she went full Divine.

Although, the look works for the character.

And then I got a visual....

I'm a man of the people.
My work here is done.

I had the same thought, however, I had hoped this is the work of the make-up artist and it is their attempt to make the character look as much like a devil as possible.

That was my hope because I am a fan of Lynn Whitfield. Even when she portrays a despicable or annoying character (Madea's Family Reunion), she puts in the work.

I thought the same thing. What happened???

her hairline is awful and she looks about 40 years older than her character from A Thin Line Between Love And Hate. I hope it's purposely done by the hair and makeup team for this character.

reply

She's always had a hairline set back far off her face. It is just more prominent now as she ages.

Geesh people, she is as old as Keith David and they have both aged. Let that woman and her hair line be, lol!

This is in response to a few of the responses in this. First, I watch HTGAWM and I don't remember her from that. Who was she? (I checked IMDB and her character's named didn't spark a remembrance.) Other than that, I don't think I've seen her in anything until recently. She is in Mistresses, and even though she plays a meddling, and very dislikable mother (I hope she has a wider range than this), she looks 100 times better than on Greenleaf. I don't know who the wig and makeup artists are on Greenleaf, but they need to take some lessons from the Mistress's crew. She is gorgeous on that show and her hair is so much more flattering.
