What she wrote is a lot less important than the fact that she wrote something. She's been told that she's just woken up from death, yet here she has a note in her own handwriting, proving that she's been here before. That's all she needs to start investigating.

I think you are all missing one point. No matter what she does she's still going to be in hell. Totally defeating Michael so he gives up this scheme just gets her tortured more conventionally.
If anything she should just go along with it and be thankful she's not having her skin ripped off like everybody else.
