Just watched this movie today but the trailer kind of put me off for a while.
I thought it was gonna be like that cannibal movie, The Green Inferno. You know, amateurish film making and acting.
But this was like a well acted movie, and very kinky and weird in parts but it's not the blood and gore it's made out to be. It's actually rather sedate.
I'd say a 7/10.
Thank god, i did not watched trailer before first watching of movie and first time i heard of this movie was on some forum. I watched Raw 6x (!) and i like it. Trailer is kinda weird.
shareIt's way more professional - and better - than The Green Inferno. Eric Roth still can't write nor direct a good performance. For someone that's been at it a while, and who is friends with Quentin Tarantino, he still comes off very amateurish. I don't quite get his fame.
But this Raw movie is a very impressive directorial debut. I didn't quite love it as much as RollingStone, which hailed this as one of the greatest horror movies of the decade (I still think It Follows takes that crown), but Eric Roth could learn a thing or two from the director of Raw.
