High frame rate = aaagggh
They tried it with The Hobbit, they tried it in the early days of cinema, it works great with videogames, VR, sports, etc..
But with this everything's so smooth I find myself staring at bits of wall, glass joins, irrelevant background movement, swirling past like someone's turned 100hz motion smoothing technology on on my TV. Any sense of realism's lost and I'm focusing more on bits of background than on what's going on.
PS - if you haven't turned motion smoothing on your TV off, presumably everything looks like this. In which case I pity you.
