Must have missed it - life on Mars
I must have missed this. What was their clue to go looking exactly where they were for life on Mars? Thanks.

Marta and Javier went back to the old lab and found some kind of crystallized looking substance. Leslie later was telling Marta about Paul once figuring out how a pathogen was spreading due to wind or something. Marta got to thinking that maybe that happened on Mars with the substance they found at the old lab. I guess she figured out from the direction of the wind where the substance could have come from. That's how I understood it anyway.
Hope this helped.
The "life form" deposited itself on the Cooling fins of an air conditioner on the old lab.
As there is no moisture in the mars atmosphere I wonder where this moisture that attracted the "life form" came from?
For me, this is just one of the many, many examples where conditions on Earth are some how transferred to Mars for plot management.
It is refreshing to note that most of the complaints about the science used in this show come from science fiction readers. We've been through a lot of the scenarios and know many of the pitfalls. Sadly the writers are TV hacks that throw crazy ideas around without any research.
