Something I would want to do if I was on Mars.

I would love the thrill of being in that environment WITHOUT A SUIT. I read that a person can survive briefly without a space suit. My idea is step out of the airlock and stand there getting to look at Mars directly and not through a visor for fifteen seconds then have my friend inside the habitat open the airlock for me and i would rush back in.

That would NOT be fatal and would be a fascinating experience.

I think we have the same kind of crazy. Since a long time, I've been thinking about putting a bare foot on the moon's regolith, even for a few seconds. THEN I can say that man has REALLY set foot on another world, and ponder what should transpire, in us or the environment, to make that world REALLY habitable.

If you did it quickly it is quite possible that there would be no permanent damage to your foot (or hand if you used that). I HATE those god damned effing A$$hole$ who say the moon landings were faked, they are people who would have to improve a great deal to be worthy of my contempt. The moon missions are arguably the greatest accomplishment in human history and I am a misanthrope so that is one of the few things that can make me a little bit proud to be a member of the human race and those A$$Hole$ want to take that away from me with their god damned effing Bull$hit.

Well years ago I went to a youtube video where one of these A$$Hole$ was explaining why the moon landings were faked and I said to him that of course people never set foot on the moon, with those thick boots they had to wear there was no way their foot could have touched the moon's surface. Of course it was a form of sarcasm.

if you ever did become an astronaut maybe as a compromise you could grab a handful of the regolith and bring it back into the space ship with you THEN stick your foot in it? You could do the same on Mars.
