Who is the bald guy?

At the end 3 people are in on the attack on the family. Was the bald guy that never removed his mask important in some way? Seemed odd to have him there and never show who he is.

Due to the interconnectivity of the stories, he didn't need to be revealed because he didn't last long. To show that the demons were real, and what they could do, he was in effect a "red shirt."
