First Segment and Last Segment Discussion: SPOILERS

Obviously the man wronged this other man's daughter and the one who is being punished knows exactly what for. It's something he kept from his wife. When the other assailant whispers it to the wife, she freaks out.

What do you think it was? How did the victim dad wrong the assailant's daughter?

Rape/molestation and murder. That's the implication due to the "eye for an eye" when they kill the dad's wife and then him and the daughter being dead and when she was saying "make him stop" in the loop. The friend tells him that they did this for his daughter. They also initially let the dad's daughter go as she was an innocent as killing the dude's wife then him was sufficient revenge.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking as well.

If the wife was 'innocent' as the father says, why was it OK to kill her but not the daughter? The demon-things only showing up when the daughter died... or did the morality of the killing have nothing to do with?
Why did the demon-things directly attack two of the guys but let the other go into some personal hell room where he's forever chasing his distraught child?
One demon-thing came out of each body but another came up out in the yard... was it just the spilling of blood in that area that summoned them?
What, if anything, did they have to do with the weirdos in the bar in the 'jailbreak' segment?

I'm guessing there's no real answers, that the writers weren't concerned with making all their segments interlock perfectly. It's a weird place and it attracts weird people and weird things.

My guess for this is that Mitch was the only one to accept things, more or less. Jack seemed to have given up, and soon after was destroyed. Mitch became aware that these creatures were out to collect, so I see his actions in the motel room/house to be an attempt at redemption. He's trying to set things straight. Whether he does or not...

We've met before, haven't we?
