No chemistry between mother and daughter

Only thing I didn't like about this movie was that I felt no chemistry between Lady Bird and her mom. When they argued, when they got along. And that was supposed to be a big part of the movie.

I disagree on this... I thought as a portrait of a realistic mother-daughter relationship it was one of the best we have seen, which was one of the main reasons for the movie’s success. I was riveted by Ronan and Metcalf’s scenes together.

This topic might as well be titled: "I Failed to Grasp the Subtle Character Dynamics. Please Roast Me"

No, I'm allowed to express my opinion and I didn't see the chemistry between the two to buy them as mother and daughter. I've seen better working dynamics.

I caught this movie last night. I think at times the chemistry worked well and others it didn't. However, it fit the movie plot because these two are at odds with each other, so the lack of solid chemistry seemed to work.

Overall, I thought this was a good movie, and a worthy nominee for best picture. I have to admit, I liked this more than the eventual winner, The Shape Of Water, which I wasn't that impressed with. For the most part, I wanted Get Out to win BP. But the Oscars are pretty much useless now days.

At any rate, I'll give LB a 7.1 out of 10. It did remind me of Juno. However, its hard to say which movie I liked more but I might have to go with LB. It just felt more raw than Juno, which at times feels like a satirical approach to teen pregnancy. Either way, both are good movies...
