Damned shaky cam, will it ever stop?

The hardest part to watch in episodes 1 and 2 so far has been the goddamned overused shaky-cam when there's absolutely no reason to use it, as there's no action, no commotion, nothing agitated going on at all. It's like they're so ashamed of their rather simplistic sets and props that they don't want us to get a good look at them, like they're afraid we're gonna think it's not proper Sci-Fi because it's not all glossy and lit up with LED bands all over the place.

Christ, that shaky-cam is dumb. I hope it stops at some point, it's really getting on my nerves.

Thanks for this info. I was going to watch it on Netflix but I can't stand quaky cameras so I will avoid this.

It's not noticeable at all or something that will take you off the show, at least I didn't think of it once before seeing this.

I will meet you halfway on that and say that it gets better as the season progresses, either because they calmed down or because I got more used to it, probably a bit of both.

Watch the show its pretty good, the filming definitely could improve some of the angles were bad but the acting makes up for it...

From what I understand, the first few episodes weren't done by Netflix. It was a Brazilian program that never finished because they didn't have the budget to continue. I didn't really notice it myself (and I'm not exactly a fan of shaky or grainy images) but a shaky cam might have been due to budget cutbacks-- you know, not being able to get the best equipment or camera people for the job.
