Is this sci-fi?

it is sci-fi in the sense that it's a future dystopian society. But there's not a lot of "sci" here. It's more like a parallel earth at our stage of technology.

It´s pure sci fi for me, in a genre called soft sci fi, in that questions about society and human conflicts are treated. It echoes works like 1984, Logan´s Run, Admirable New World, etc.

Indeed, it is science fiction in the way it exaggerates some factors, comparable to Children Of Men, to create an allegory of our globalized society.

Yes, science fiction/speculative fiction/fantasy, about a technologically advanced, dystopian future.
