Loved the show hated the costume design.

The clothing was so distracting it almost made me hate it. Especially the inland people...they looked like hiphop dancer zombies. Like their clothes were slightly fashionable yet specifically and meticulously ripped, misplaced and dirtied with a goal. It was weird. Great story though.

I read this in a chola accent.

It looked cheap. Total turnoff

I agree that the Inland costumes were a bit forced looking, but I actually like the distinctive dress of agents from the Offshore. The singular stripe going down the front of all the shirts/dresses and color neutral pallete chosen, really sets them apart and gives them a cool look.

The inland outfits were hilarious. It was like, 'how can we make these people look poor? I know, put them in normal outfits with lots of tactical rips and the odd smudge mark!'

A lot of films and a lot of dystopian films in particular do the impoverished look well, so I was surprised this film did it so badly. But then, it was sort of refreshing to see colour. Most dystopian flicks have their poor in greys or muted colours. But would the colour have held out well in that sort of environment? I'm not sure.
