Was Walker evil for the sake of being evil? Or did he feel he was doing the right thing?

Please I want serious answers.

He felt he was doing the right thing... He seems the true believer type as he was upset with Solomon Lane compromising the mission due to his personal vendetta with Ethan Hunt...

No he was a true believer but like Sloane said, he was a hammer through and through. Blunt and to the point, he never cared for the 'cloak and dagger' theatrics IMF specialized in.
