I'm not wrong in thinking this is kind of where they want to go?

So how are single dinosaurs from the dozen or so species that escaped supposed to reproduce and take over the world?

And you have single dinosaurs of each species. It would take centuries for them to populate to any sort of threatening number.

Maybe they will lay 100-200 eggs at a time. Scientific plausibility is not really Jurassic movies' forte. All you need to remember is that ''life finds a way''.
