Damian Wayne again?

I watched the Sneak Peek yesterday. I had forgotten this was even being made. I'm more excited to see BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE. But it turns out BAD BLOOD is also a sequel to SON OF BATMAN and BATMAN VS ROBIN. Now I enjoyed those films, but another one? Really? I'm starting to get sick of Damian Wayne, not that I ever really liked him that much to begin with.

I wouldn't mind if he was in a movie with other Robins. Perhaps a sequel to UNDER THE RED HOOD, and have Dick, Jason, Tim and Damian all together.

And the new villain who looks like an evil Batman will probably just turn out to be Bruce Wayne, right? Hit his head and lost his memory or something? It's happened before, hasn't it?

You can't expect Damian to just vanish unless this movie was a stand-alone like Justice League: Gods and Monsters. In fact, The Killing Joke is probably just such a done-in-one project (which would be good news for you). Bad Blood will also feature Dick Grayson, who at least is a former Robin (some might say he is THE former Robin).

This is obviously a sequel, so I don't expect Damian to vanish.

But why do some of these movies bother to follow the New 52? Does DC insist? Is SON OF BATMAN a literal sequel to JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE FLASHPOINT PARADOX? They seem to avoid Dick or Tim being Robin again. Too old fashioned?

Well, the New 52 reboot started with Dick already transitioned to Nightwing. And, after some initial confusion, it was ultimately revealed that in the new continuity, Tim Drake was never Robin (only 'Red Robin'). Although these movies have not held to every aspect of the New 52 universe.

I hope this is good. Batman vs. Robin was excellent but it's hard for me to get interested in more lame Batman knock off characters like Batwoman, Batwing, & the bat themed "mysterious" big baddie.

I don't think that there is anything inherently wrong with the new Batwoman. However, there have been far too many 'anti-Batmans' (Batmen?). Just how many characters now have been called Batman's opposite?
- The Wrath
- Joker
- Ra's al Ghul
- Prometheus
- Hush
- The Red Hood (Jason Todd)
- Arkham Knight

And I'm sure that we could add a few more.

Y'know, i could actually go for a movie that was just about all the Robins. Maybe have Dick & Tim team up against Jason & Damien.

^This, true. We could use something like this since Robin just celebrated an anniversary. I know Batman is where the money is at but Warner can stand to do one or two films that isn't explicitly focused on him.

I agree, and I also would like to extend that to having more DC heroes having solo films outside of Batman. Sadly, though, fans still have an overwhelming favortism toward Batman, and many of his movies sell better. Hopefully, the new DCCU movies can help alleviate that...but they could also make the problem worse...

I don't read the comics, so outside of BATMAN: MYSTERY OF THE BATWOMAN (2003), I'm unfamiliar with the character. Maybe she'll be interesting.

Mystery of Batwoman was damn underrated and worth another look. However the new version of Batwoman is interesting although I wonder if she'll also be a lesbian in the animated movie since that was her whole hook to begin with.

You guys should read what the panel at NYCC said about Tim and Jason that they haven't been introduced yet and the audience booed and then James Tucker said something about they haven't been Robin yet. So how can they be Robin after Damian that doesn't work/

The way I think it will go is..
The Heretic who is a adult aged clone of Damian will kill him at the end of Bad Blood and either Tim or Jason will become Robin. I'm think Tim will be Red Robin and the Teen Titans will be featured in a future film.
I don't think Jason Todd was liked outside of being Red Hood for him to be considered. Personally I wished Bruce had died in a JL movie as Dick and Damian as Batman and Robin were my favorite duo ever.

The Killing Joke movie wont be in the movies timeline that it is now but in Conroy's batman timeline.
I don't think it will be part of either continuity. Batman: The Killing Joke will be a stand-alone movie.
