The Best Movie Of This Series of Batman Animated Films...

Good, but not great.

The movie benefits from having Damian take a supporting role and letting other characters take the lead. I also like that Batman Vs Robin gave Damian much needed character development that carried through to this movie. He's still kind of a little turd, but I hope he'll grow out of the worst of it by Justice League Vs Teen Titans.

Batwoman was perfect. This Batwoman makes up for the awful Batwomen from Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman movie. I think the character could have had an entire movie to herself she was that good.

Batwing was okay, but I think he could have been dropped from the film and nothing would be lost. He got no character development, especially compared to Kathy Kane, so the character felt like an afterthought. He does have a cool suit though.

Nightwing/Dick Grayson made a good lead. It was nice to see him in the bat suit and his more laid-back Batman. I wish we'd gotten to see more.

I also wish the plotting had been a little tighter and the villain's motives were explored more deeply. Heretic was interesting, but his story line wasn't given time to make an impact beyond some very creepy subtext. And Talia's motivation for her actions, from an emotional standpoint, seemed to come out of nowhere.

The choreography could have been better--more dynamic. It was serviceable; but Batman Vs Robin had better fight scenes.

Batman: Bad Blood is a decent movie. It didn't wow me, or change my mind that the New 52 based animated films have been below average to terrible overall, but it was entertaining to watch.
