Why doesn't Batman call his Justice League friends?

i get SoB, BvR and this are meant to be solo movies but it makes no sense, after they seemed to all be good friends in throne of atlantis, that batman wouldn't call flash after finding out he's up against remnants of the League, or court of owls.

because he's THE GODDAMN BATMAN.

If Batman was up against Trigon, Darkseid and (jumping universes) freaking Galactus, he would probably take them on solo -- and win (kidding!).

to quote every Batfan... "with enough prep time".

One thing I like about Batman, is the thought that on quiet nights he's sat up on a gargoyle somewhere, working out ways how to take down everyone from Darkseid to Alfred.

I thought Nightwing made it clear that he tried to distance himself(as a person) from Batman, bcos Batman always wants to do things alone even when he needs help and never let anyone in.

reply

You are absolutely right. Batman likes to go it alone - even when Gotham is in ruins, like during the No Man's Land story, Superman offers his help and Batman turns him down.

I was just referencing the infamous scene... http://rack.1.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyMDE0LzEwLzEzLzYxL2dvZGRhbW5iYXRtLjlkZjI4LmpwZwpwCXRodW1iCTEyMDB4OTYwMD4/ccbb5bf6/7fa/goddamn-batman.jpg

When it comes to Gotham, Batman is protective. He doesn't ask for help from JL. That doesn't mean he never asks for help. When he is dealing with issues that are more than the limits of Gotham, he asks for help.

At which point do you propose Batman calls in the Justice League for help? At the beginning he's handling what he believes to be a fairly routine fight when he gets caught in the explosion. So he's in Talia's possession for a majority of the movie. And after that he's brainwashed until the final battle. So not really any chance for Batman to call for help.

reply

This is what I was thinking as well. If anything could ask why Damien didn't contact the Teen Titans more than Batman contact the JL. And just as many reasons for why that didn't happen, like time and Damien's cockiness.

reply

This was before Damian joined the Teen Titans.

As for why Batman didn't call in the JL, he was captured ad brainwashed for the whole movie.
