I am so excited for this show!!! And do you know what I'd love to see?

I'd love them to bring Dan Stevens on as guest star. Maybe that sounds too, I don't know, gimmicky or something, but the result would be anything but. Also, Michelle Dockery and he have already done multiple projects together, and they have a palpable chemistry on screen. What's more, like her, he's really, really good.

Of course, it wouldn't be the Crawleys all over again. I'd like to see them bring him on as a baddy -- as someone who is just destructive and rotten news for Michelle Dockery's character but who nonetheless compels her, attracting her like gravity and, like gravity, perilously dangerous unto breaking her bones and crushing her into oblivion. For all her character's strength, his is one whose charms uniquely disarm her and leave her vulnerable like no one can, and she knows it, and she knows he will hurt her, maybe even be her ruin, yet she indulges.

That's just me. I'd like to see that. Both she and Dan Stevens have the acting chops -- and whatever that something is that they have between them -- to pull it off. I think their appearing again together would, whether gimmicky or not, pique a lot of interest and attract a sh*t load of viewers. And isn't that what it's all about? Getting people to watch once? Getting a foot in the door then letting the quality of the project prove itself by its merits?
