Letty Dobesh novels

For anyone who is interested the three short novels Blake Crouch wrote that the show is loosely based on are a fun and quick read! They are (in order): "The pain of others", "Sunset Key" and "Grab".

The first episode is pretty heavily based on "The pain of others" but it's more of a horror show and the character of Daphne is kinda psycho. Javier pops up on "Sunset key" being a completely different character for the most part and from the promos and description of episode 5, I am guessing it's an episode on "grab".

All in all there are elements, scenes and dialogue from all three novels that pop up during the show's script but from episode 6 and after it's definitely its own thing. "Sunset key" would be my recommendation, it has a good twist but they all are solid and interesting pieces of mystery - noir writing.
