End of ep. 6 - Goodbye!?
Was Letty saying goodbye to Jacob when she said " He's set to life!!" ?
Love the way that Javier and Jacob connect!!
It seemed that way! Really, I have no idea how this show is going to end. Can she really end up with Jacob when she will be constantly on the run from the police? This isn't just about a restraining order- she actively skips parole meetings and encouraged her one friend (Christian) in the system to quit.
There were a few weird moments in Ep 6 when she was staring at Jacob and Estelle in the kitchen after dinner. I think she was maybe realizing that Jacob has a pretty okay life with Estelle- stable, somewhat disciplined, well-fed, well provided for. Estelle is not the best but she did set up a college fund for Jacob- she could have just kept the 20K for herself. Maybe Letty realizes that she can never fully have Jacob and that's why she left the 100K.
Another question- where was the 100K in the first scene of the episode? I assume in her suitcase and then she put it into the brown bag later?

That was odd. I was wondering if it had another meaning, other than her believing that Jacob was better off in Estelle's care than hers.
I thought she was going to have a flashback to another time.
I really like Jacob and the young actor who plays him.
He seems to be very much his mother's son (sweet and savvy) and seems to love her very much. I hope that wasn't 'good-bye' for good.

I was thinking the same thing and also because the idea that she needed Jacob to be happy fall throw only after spending 1 day with him. She hated and i think she was a little jealous how Javier and Jacob got along so well since it was the first time they were together.

shareAgree with your comment. That's what I like about this show- there are many gray areas and emotions. My husband thought Letty was being annoying in the store- but what else are we to expect? She hasn't seen her kid in a few years, has been in and out of jail multiple times. She has always had to rely on herself and is a bit stunted emotionally. I thought the episode was spot on with her portrayal.
