Thought I had found my next La Femme Nikita

The first episode was absolutely spellbinding - the best pilot I've seen.

Thought I had found the next iteration of La Femme Nikita circa 1990s - impersonation, heist, seduction, action; a beautiful female ex-con-badass-protagonist employed against her moral compass, this time by an assassin. More personal demons but empathetic.

However, as mentioned by others here, things spiraled quickly into soap opera melodrama. The 4th episode was absolutely pathetic - the vacillating hate you-love you-hate you relationship with her Mother, the reunion and ridiculous caught-in-the-act hallucination with her friend's lawyer husband.

Sad, so sad.

I hope Ms. Dockery and the writers are reading these reviews and can course-correct what began as a riveting, indelible drama.

Same here, the first episode was great but after that it went down hill fast. Seems to be a growing trend with new shows, get them hooked with the first episode and hope they stick around. But I don't have time for mediocre soap operas.

The first episode was my favorite to. The fourth was my least favorite. It didn't have enough Javier in it for me.

The tv series La Femme Nikita is my all time favorite show, the one with Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis, not the new one.

I don't know what's worse: that you're actually looking for a terrible 90ies Canadian action drama clone or the fact your self-aggrandizing makes you believe that actors or writers read your pathetic posts on imdb

Do actors and writers read these imdb posts?

Personally I believe that some of them do... in a world of tweeters and "followers" both sides gain validation from the other. Donald Trump was able to get his validation by the electorate when they voted, but I am certain that many people who produce these shows read these posts to get some feedback from the audience.

After all, in recent years it has become very clear that some films and tv shows are judged cringe-worthy by critics but loved by the general audiences.
The critical reviews can be read in Variety, The Los Angeles Times and the New York Times (etc), but if a writer or director wants to understand how his work is being perceived by the public he or she is almost forced to come to websites like this one.

The chief reason I post comments on these forums is in the belief that they may help sway a film-maker's judgment a bit. It is certainly not because I enjoy swapping insults and information with people I don't know and will never meet.

Let's face it, while it appears to me that there is a large network of people interacting thru these posts the entire website could easily be a work of fiction, the posts written by computers, and I am the only actual human involved. I may be the victim of an elaborate hoax, or the subject of some intricate psychological test. This could easily be The Twilight Zone!
