Season 1 criticism/Season 2 hopes
I certainly don't think this is on the level of Breaking Bad, but this is probably the best show TNT has aired. An argument could be made for Animal Kingdom. Otherwise, this has all the ingredients for TNT to do what USA did with Mr. Robot. It all hinges on whether season 2 goes the route of 'Unreal' (complete combustion) or improves a la 'Justified' (which had it's own issues season 1).
In any case, I've seen some criticism regarding the route the creators took in the last few episodes. I concur in many ways but I think the 10 episode format will either help or hurt them. I think we can all agree episode 9 was a disaster. But, with a limited amount of eps, the creator/writers/showrunner will have the opportunity to correct the (IMO) small amount of mistakes and take this baby to the next level.
I am curious if they will continue to follow the narrative in the short stories. I have not read the book so I don't know how far the writers strayed & if there's anything left in that regard.
Wishes for season 2:
-Less Tiffany/Kyle
-More Christian & Estelle
-Nix Sean or improve his story
-Nix Christians family (hopefully this was done in season 1)
