In stories where children are the main characters..Adults are usually dumbed down some to degree.

But this guy breaks the show for me. He isn't just dumb. He's completely blind. The children who are already 2-0 on Olaf are telling this guy that Sham is Olaf. And he just scolds them about it for a second time. They called him out in the Reptile Room and Mr.Poe scolded them. You'd think they'd give him some development and maybe have him start trusting the kids but he's just dumb for the sake of the children ending up in Olaf's care.

Exactly how he was in the books, supposed to be a "good guy" but very irritating at the same time.

did he cough in the books? that was annoying I wish they dropped that for the screen

Yes he did cough all the time... I was worried they might skip that in the show but I am glad they kept it! it's the details that make the difference!!
