Fails in Execution
The movie does well at creating a bleak somewhat dread filled atmosphere. However, the multiple themes and shallow characters really prevent this movie from being something great. What should be a deep dive into existential dread and horrific/profound death scenes ends up being a really bland movie. I feel like there are other movies that do a better job at this Lovecraftian type of horror.
Have yet to find a perfect one though! I'll take any recommendations. Event Horizon is one of the next on my list.
