Contrived drama

I've been watching this on Max.
First off, I love watching the bots fight. Most times it is exciting. Those bots battling are the basis of the show.
I'm just not real sure why the producers feel the need to try to enhance the drama. The fights are enough for me.
I don't need all this wasted time on back stories, etc. Just show the bots fighting. Some back scene info is cool, but they could add two or three more fights per show if they stopped making up ridiculous drama.
Such as Faruq's insane pauses when announcing the obvious. "And the winner, by unanimous decision is..." 10 second pause ... pause ... pause ... "Robot XYZ!" Usually it is so obvious who the winner is... just announce it already.
Speaking of Faruq. I can't stand him. His childish and very cringe-worthy rhymes during the intros make me fast-forward to the real action -- in the box.
