Tombstone was getting wrecked

Sucks Witch Doctor couldn't flip back over, it was theirs to win.

reply

Yes!! I really want TS to be in the finals...but WD gave it to him

reply

Witch Doctor almost had it, Tombstone is my favorite to win but in this fight I was actually cheering for WD after seeing how good it was doing against Tombstone.

reply

It really seemed as though an upset was brewing. WD had the right tool to block that blade, but the unseen factor with that weapon is the force it puts on the internals. It's not just hitting their shovel, but dislodging wires and bending supports. There can't be many designs in this weight class that can take that degree of abuse, if any.

I wanted someone to wipe that smirk off the face of the dude who controls Tombstone. He was all cocky but look at his panicking face near the latter part of the battle lol .

reply

Yeah it was great to see the pained look on his face when he knew he was going to lose near the end. He had no business bragging at the end because he got his ass handed to him and only won because he got lucky when WD flipped.

Victory is Mine!!!

reply

Well, I wouldn't say he got his ass handed to him... WD didn't actually have to do anything, it was Tombstone's own weapon that was hurling the bot halfway across the arena. Something about the construction or angle of the shielding on the front of WD was just kicking back all the force the axe was putting in (which we've seen is a lot)

reply

Should've spent that extra weight on a SRM instead of wasting it on that dumb flamethrower minibot.

reply

If Witch Doctor had a way to right themselves, they would have easily won at that point, as Tombstone had broken its blade.

All the best bots seem to either have a way to right themselves, or able to drive upside down. Almost every bot out there you fight runs the risk of flipping you whether from a direct flipping weapon, or just from the force of collisions.

reply

I was just commenting about this on the old boards. :)

If a bot is not effective (or even helpless) upside down, they MUST have something to right themselves. There's simply too many ways an enemy bot can upend an opponent. I've even see simple wedge bots do this. It is simply too risky to leave that to chance.

If you buy a ticket for a remake, you are the problem, not Hollywood.
