I can't believe Grant Imahara didn't make a bot or at least be one of the hosts.

All the contestants auditioned or were invited so I guess they didn't ask him.

As for him hosting, his price tag may be a tad higher than what they wanted to pay. Also not sure if he still is under contract with either Mythbuster's production company or Discovery so they may have a say on what he can do.

Does he have a new show with Discovery after they kicked the three out of Mythbusters?

Yeah I would have loved to at least seen him as a host.

or maybe grant was asked and he turned them down thinking he's better than them/ above it all...

like he'd win too easily...

sometimes on mythbusters he seemed to be a bit of an egotistical jerk in the last few seasons, he just didn't seem bothered at times.

Not just him. Adam and Jamie. They did battlebots too. I'd like to see them show up even for a few minutes!

Why? Battlebots is now on ABC. It doesn't own or partner with Discovery Channel or Science Channel. I doubt that ABC would want to give time to people who are on another network.
