I still can't believe this is happening and I've already seen 3 episodes

I must be dreaming. Someone pinch me. It's 2015 and I'm getting served weekly episodes of a NEW BattleBots TV show. I've only been dreaming of this every single day of my life since the old show went off the air.

Every week when the show starts I get goose bumps. During the fights I get so excited I some times tear up a little bit. Out of sheer happiness and excitement.

To me, every fight is like watching your favorite football team win the superbowl.

I almost wish it was on a cable network, going be hard to get another season on a major network

I think it's winning in its time slot but that doesn't necessarily mean it's making a profit. We'll have to wait for ABC to announce something, hopefully soon.

A story popped up on my phone that it did well in its time slot for the 18 to 45 demo.

I think it all comes down to cost. Most reality shows are a bunch of people bitching at and about each other and is pretty cheap per day to make but they usually tape for 30 or so days.

BB cost more per day since they helped pay for the robots and they needed a large area to film with a large studio audience but they probably only had maybe a week if not less of taping.

There are other factors in play. If you noticed most of the commercials where for ABCs new Fall Line up. We watch very few ABC shows so we wouldn't know about that show with the girl with the tattoos.

Also they already have the battle box and the set built so next time it will be cheaper to shoot.
