OK, so they set up this show for what ... 6 episodes and there is no sign
of an off the wall move like this, and then Cal has a stressful day and kills
someone. This is just stupid. The story was looking interesting and the
whole cult/religion conflict with the rest of the world was the point.
Now, like everything else on TV there has to be a murder. Stupid. Bad move.
They've shown bouts of violence and anger before, just this time he had a weapon
So, I just write something here and it will appear on everything I post?

shareUntil the murder this was a compelling show, now it's just typical television. There was enough with Cal's sexual issues, the mystery of what really happened to Allison's husband, the refugees, Eddie's angst, Hawk's hormones, etc. I might as well watch HTGAWM.
shareNo it's what the show needed, previous episodes were getting repetitive and tough to watch this one picks up with Cal finally crossing the line and killing someone.
I insist Silas was stupid for pushing him like that saying the movement was over was enough, he thought he'd come in his face and insult him and his father and he would just stand there and not do anything? What an idiot.. he practically asked for it.

If he was not killed Cal couldn't do his work there anymore. He needed to die as a plot device. Real gross too.
