I don't find the other characters interesting enough to care about them, Eddie is especially frustrating, Sarah is usually unlikeable and has a better than you complex, the kids are annoying as is Mary..
Cal does bad stuff but he is interesting so I'm all for him getting away with it..

He's a liar, a hypocrite, a murderer, a manipulative sociopath and an abuser. So yeah, disturbing.
Somehow I doubt people would be rooting for him if he was butt ugly.
