How much can a megaladon eat in just a few days?

The two magaladons eat several people with weights in the range of 100 to 200 pounds.

And then the second megaladon ate a bunch of people at the Chineses resort.

So that makes probably 500 to 1,000 pounds eaten by each megaldon in just a few days.

Of course real megaladons had big appetites, eating seals, sea turtles, sharks, and dolphins. And they ate small and medium sized whales.

But the first meg ate a medium sized mother whale that probably weighed at least 10 tons or 20,000 pounds. And then it ate a whale calf which probably weighed at least a ton.

The second megaladon seized the carcass of the first one, and presumable ate that many ton shark. And then it ate a whale carcass of several tons.

So you would expect it to spend days, weeks, or months digesting its meals, which weighed a big fraction of its own weight, instead of looking for snacks.
