Islam is an untouchable for libtards and progressives (and of course, for islamists) and therefore, a topic which puts islamic terror organizations like the Ottoman Empire in a bad light is gonna be "discredited".
Unfortunately for islamists and turkish fanatics, the Armenian Genocide is a crime in their history, and they have to acknowledge that.

Actually, the perpetrators of the Genocide were the Young Turks movement which was very secular and nationalist. They did not do for Islamic reasons but they wanted to Turkify the eastern region. There are many Islamic nations like Iran, Lebanon and Syria which have recognised the Armenian Genocide so what you're saying is baloney.
