85000 ratings already?
How is this even possible. Not even Finding Dory which has grossed $1b has 85000 ratings. The ratings system on imdb is really flawed in this sense.

shareTurkish chauvistic fascists on the internet that have targeted the movie and downrated it.
shareit's possible because the Turkish Propaganda machine has deemed it a mission of theirs to blackball this movie by any means, which means loading the reviews and downvoting comments, trolling message boards, boycotting and being general douches. 86k reviews on a movie that has only had 3 yes THREE public screenings.. i dont think they understand that this little game they are playing is counter intuitive, it is proving they are fudging the numbers and doing shady practices i mean come on! 86 thousand reviews before the movie is even public? that's messed up.
shareYou forgot the most important part, the movie still isn't even released yet, and had a grand total of THREE public screenings so far. Yet it currently has around 87000 ratings.
63.6% are 1/10
35.4% are 10/10
Only 1% are between 2/10 and 9/10
Hope IMDB will do something.
This. I know that it will be counter productive for them but they should bar ratings. This is bias like i have never seen.
shareI have faith they can solve the problem without actually barring the ratings. Idiots at 4Chan.com gave The Interview (2014) 9.9/10 as the highest rated movie on IMDb in protest of the Sony hack, even though is was a legitimately distasteful and overall disliked movie. They solved that problem by changing the rating system so that it could detect such manipulations by large groups, and now the movie has a more accurate 6.5/10.
I have no doubt the system will send a red flag once it has a general US release and enough votes are in they can do something else about it.

They really should do something. I'm glad there are people on here that understand. I thought I would get hated on by those people themselves.
shareMy guess would be that on one hand you have a bunch of people (who likely haven't watched the movie and who deny the Armenian genocide) that are disagreeing with the political statement that and giving the movie movie bad ratings as a result, while on the other hand, there are a bunch of people who agree with the political statement that the movie is trying to make (some of them probably haven't watched the movie neither) and they are giving the movie good ratings as a result. Somewhere in between, you might have some people who've actually watched the movie (the ones that give the most unbiased ratings) and they have probably just stated their true opinion about the movie.
I tend to have the utmost respect towards to true critics and reviewers who don't let ideology or anything alike meddle with their opinions of movies.
