We just left the cinema checking out Unfriended: Dark Web

Overall, I thought it was a pretty good movie. The concept is interesting and I thought all the actors all did pretty well.

The movie will be a lot to process for most people, so I am very curious as to see how the public will receive it.

Just to note: As a techie, I am a person who works and sits in front of the computer a lot and this film made me feel like I was in front of my computer for 90 minutes, which is actually the reason why I like to get out of the house and off the computer to go out to the theater.

Although the movie is Rated R, there were no vicious kills and no boobies... I don't know why it was Rated R.

I wish we'd get back to the time of 'Real' Rated R!

I really enjoyed it actually. I went in cold not knowing anything about it. I thought it was original and I liked the tie in with the dark web and Amaya being deaf. And none of the friends were really dumb either.it was fun.

exactly they should have rated it PG13. i thought it was original and better than average a lot better than truth or dare which was horrible and boring.

Just saw it now myself. Loved it had me genuinely on edge loved the use of scripting. The exploits were on point from what I saw. It was clever in its plot of phishing for some one to pick up laptop. Really enjoyed this

If you liked this one, OP, you might like the first one even more. While it deals less with the techie computer stuff seen in Dark Web, the way they use computers in the first one is actually more spot on I think. You sense the frantic emotions from someone just by how their mouse cursor moves or how many times they self-edit their chat text. I always thought these movies did a clever job with the multiple open windows, tabs, search histories, Skype cameras, and the facile way these young people use multiple programs at once...all used to help tell the story engagingly. We're looking at a screen and pretty much locked in one place, and yet the "world" these movies exist in don't feel that small or claustrophobic.

I enjoyed this movie but this was the part that I found hardest to believe. I'm pretty competent with the various programs used -- or similar ones. I'm doubtful that anyone could be productive or stay focused with multiple comm programs happening at once like this. It would be exhausting.

Just managing multiple simultaneous convos on FB Messenger is a challenge...

I suspect that the film makers used this technique more as a way to keep viewers engaged. It would be boring to see people actually using laptops the way people normally do.
