did you beileve slahi?
terrorist or not?
shareHe is as much a terrorist as I am.
shareYou have be more than a little naive to believe he's not.
sharehe was never charged.
shareSo? He wasn't detained for almost 15 years over absolutely nothing. Did you check out his background?
sharethey should have had a trial. he was under surveillance in canada for quite some time and no charges as well.
share"they should have had a trial."
Well, that I agree with.
it was the torture thing.
shareWell, I'm not a fan of torture, but I can't say I feel bad for the guy. He's not innocent.
share"He's not innocent."
And you know this how?
Because of facts.
shareWhat facts?
shareHe doesn't have any. He just thinks all Muslims are terrorists.
shareSo you know absolutely nothing about this guy???
You can start with Wikipedia in order to educate yourself:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohamedou_Ould_Salahi
Also, stop talking to yourself, Douchefeet.
Hi Stratego, I don't know if you're talking to me or not (I'll ignore the name-calling), but I'm willing to see where the conversation goes for a bit at least. Okay, I perused the Wikipedia page on him. What, precisely, did you see there that makes you claim that the man is guilty? I didn't really see anything incriminating.
Namecalling??? Don't make things up.
Okay, so you ignore that this guy went to Al Qaeda training camps and associated with terrorists. No suprise there.
Hi Stratego. Yes, I saw where he joined al-Qaeda in an effort to support the mujahideen in its efforts to topple the communist government of Afghanistan. The United States supported the mujahideen, too. Later, he claimed to have severed all ties and I am not seeing where there's any evidence to contradict that claim.
Was there something else that makes you think he was guilty of being involved in the 9/11 attacks?
(And, yes, name-calling. You wrote, "Douchefeet," which I assume was meant as an insult. Was it not?)
"Was there something else that makes you think he was guilty of being involved in the 9/11 attacks?"
I said nothing of the sort. I said he wasn't an innocent man. He did not sever "all ties" after 1989.
Douchefeet is a member here. Why would you assume it was namecalling when you supposedly have no clue who or what I mean? Oh, right...
Sorry, Stratego. I don't know every member's name here. The name was invoked in a post that I assume was a reply to one of mine. If you want to tell me you meant no offense to me, I am happy to take you at your word.
How do you know Salahi didn't sever all ties?
Let's try it this way: what, exactly, are you claiming he wasn't innocent of?
If you're not Douchefeet, then no need to take it personally.
"How do you know Salahi didn't sever all ties?"
I see you did not read the Wikipedia article.
But I did. Again, what, exactly, are you claiming he wasn't innocent of?
shareSo you're feigning ignorance??? That article alone shows he's not innocent of fighting on behalf of a militant (and terrorist) organization and associating with terrorists all through the 90s.
shareYou could have saved us both some time if you had mentioned how low your bar was right up front. "Associating with." But even still, the evidence is fuzzy. We've already established, and I've already stipulated, that he joined al-Qaeda in an effort to support the mujahideen against the communist government, THE SAME GROUP that the United States supported at the time. But then he claims he severed ties with them. You (and the United States government, so you're in fine company) have no evidence that proves otherwise. I've read your damn Wiki page three times. There's nothing conclusive there. Nothing.
Look, I asked the question in my first post as to how you know he's not innocent. You stated that you had facts. I have been waiting for them, and not just because I want to argue with some stranger on a message board. I have better things to do. I'm sincerely interested in this man's case and if he's guilty of terrorism (which I had assumed you meant) then I would like to know that. Can you point to any conclusive evidence? If not, or if you want to just keep lowering the bar of guilt, then please stop wasting my time.
Hmmm, you make a lot of assumptions for someone who's only interested in facts. Now stop lying, I never said there was evidence he was involved in the 9/11 plot. The cold hard facts are that he went to Al Qaeda training camps multiple times, even after invasive forces had left, and continued to be in close contact with terrorists, even harboring them in his own home. Someone like that is NOT an innocent person, so no, I don't feel sorry for him at all.
Actually, YOU replying to me and being a disingenious troll with a hidden agenda is what wasted everybody's time.
I have been neither disingenuous nor a "troll." Your cold hard facts are debatable at best. Tell me, Stratego, because I'd like to know: just what exactly is my "hidden agenda"?
Defending a guy who himself has admitted these facts is your agenda, which is now very transparent. Go troll someone else with one of your many sock puppets, you clown.
shareAnd there it is. "You clown." "Go troll."
You've got no decent argument to make and so you've landed here.
It was just a matter of time.
Ciao.
Lol, you exposed yourself when you started MAKING SHIT UP about severing ties and 9/11. And your lies only continued after that. My arguments are facts that everyone can see for themselves when they click on the link.
See you later, Douchefeet!
Yes, everyone can see for themselves. At last, we agree on something.
shareso he is suing canada.
