2 x France at the Golden Globes?!

France has just received a double nomination at the Golden Globes with both Elle and Divines receiving nods for Best Foreign Language Film.
Was it really necessary? Couldn't they have picked just one of the films to represent the country?
What about some great films from different nationalities that were snubbed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association?

Well, at least you'll always have the Oscars with their 'one film per country' rule.

I thought Divines was pretty terrific.
