Silliness


It was too childish for me. Apart from the truly ridiculous scene near the end where they break out of the forest and there is suddenly a whole convoy of police vehicles coming towards them across a plain (who couldn't possibly have known where the truck was headed)...

Another really silly part was the use of the mobile phone tracking device on people who were living for months in a forest. Without electricity. Doh!

Yes, this seemed more like a movie for kids. I'm surprised that there are not more comments and reviews along these lines. Plot is simplistic, humor is simplistic. No great drama here. Man bonds with boy, and vice-versa; OK - got it. Well done for what it is. And also, if that kid was living in the woods for 6 months, he woulda lost some weight for sure.
