I enjoyed the tributes to the 'Kiwiana' of the film-makers' childhood, particularly the glorifying of the Cadbury Flake ad, the reference to L&P behind the 'Burger Rings Door', and the line "gets a bit bumpy around here" from the old Toyota ad with Barry Crump. One gag I didn't notice (until I read about it later) was that the tourist taking the snapshot as the Toyota flies past him was actually 'Scotty' from the original ad.
That closing Alessi Brothers song, 'Seabird', sounds awfully familiar...maybe used in another NZ ad?

Yeah that was obviously Lloyd Scott. Wonder if that part was edited out of the American version since it would make no sense to anyone who wasn't in NZ in the late 80s.

Another great bit of Kiwiana was the book 'Quake Cats' in Rickys bedroom...
