The snow is 3 feet deep, and in the next shot (set in the same town) it's gone.
Clearly they had unkind weather on the shoot, and it played bloody hell with continuity in editing.

Try watching the show while noticing the disappearing snow, which reappears, then disappears (completely), then reappears, then disappears (completely), then reappears.

If this gets renewed: pick ONE season, and shoot in that ONE season. Late fall or early spring are probably not a good idea.

Also, location scouts need to find forests with tree trunks thicker than 5 inches. This is primordial unspoilt frontier, not a continent of 20 year-old saplings.

The island it's filmed on has very inconsistent weather at most times of year. And shooting schedules have to accomodate for sharing the some of the actors with big films. I live in the area and the snow has definitely not been consistent this year. Good luck, editors.

The area also isn't known for large trees due to the shallow soil. I guess they could import a few or build some fake trunks. Probably wouldn't create the right feel though.

There happen to be several varieties of trees in the north east and Canada that never grow to be large trees. Also Snow has a tendency to make drifts based on winds and also freezes, so scenes in the city would have less snow due to the drifts / wind blocked by the structures, and on the same day / scene near the indian camp the snow can be a lot deeper ......happens everywhere
