What's up with the censorship?

Sometimes they bleep out the F word and sometimes they don't. Does this happen during broadcast? I just literally heard 'He could be the *bleep* King of England but I'm still going to f'cking murder him' lol

Yeah. Noticed that too and was wondering the same thing!

I think the censors understand about as much of the silly Scottish and Irish accents as the rest of us so they miss some lol

that would be hilarious. i'm an american that's watched a weird amount of irish shows the past couple years and it's easy to understand now, hang in there. or are you talking about badly-done accents haha

I'll have to rewatch some episodes to determine if the bleeps are done when the *beep* or *beep* is MODIFYING something like the monarch or a deity, as in 'Jesus *beep* Christ', or 'the *beep* king of England'.

reply

oh didn't realize that's a thing, never noticed if we can do that on TV to the American president.

i think censors can like, limit the number of ti es you can say a word and in what context. fck you! would be worse than the ki g of fcking england, for instance.

verb adjective an act vs....whatever. lol

Try as i might i could not for the life of me figure any logic when it comes to removing a couple words hear and there, guess we will be waiting for netflix to release it to see if there is any difference in wording. It just doesn't make sense to remove a couple incidences of the f word considering the language in the rest of the show.

That's how AMC works. During Breaking Bad, they were allowed like one fuck per season, or something, so the rest were bleeped.

Anyway, I'm watching on Project Free TV and my friend has "borrowed" some downloads online and she says her versions are censored. I know I heard a "fucking" but haven't really been listening out for beeps. I will now.

Are you guys watching this on Netflix? Because I don't think a company like that is subject to FCC laws as it's not broadcast and considered premium. And I was under the impression that Frontier was a Netflix original.

reply

Do you mean does Netflix have commercials? Nope. None at all.

No censorship at all, either.
