He did some rewrites but he's the director.

It's his first feature and 2 hours of the big screen is a different challenge than serial tv.

I am always amazed at movies that get Oscar buzz months before release and then go poof.

Seems to have galloped through UK cinemas with zero publicity. Which is a pity - I would have like to have seen it but was busy that weekend - hopefully it will appear on the art house circuit next year.
