An abject lesson in how not to write a movie?

I felt massively let-down by this movie, especially after seeing the intriguing trailer. Does anyone agree, or did this live up to expectations? Read my review for why it irked me: bit.ly/CollateralBeautyFilm

It was nowhere near how they made it out to be in the trailer. I did like the movie though.

I love the way you laugh.

Hi there, thanks for responding. I'm glad you liked the film - yes, very different to the trailer. But I felt completely cheated by what I saw...an abject lesson to manage my expectations of film better from now on!

I was pleasantly surprised by the difference of the movie from the trailer. I liked how we went in thinking Helen Mirren was actually Feath, just to learn she was an actress hired to place Death for Will.

And I think they did a good job of are they or aren't they real or not. There's little hints at them being "sent down" from wherever but they could also just be actors.

I had put off seeing this movie (not a big Will Smith fan). Just finished watching it and I'm surprised by so people's visceral reaction and it appears by many who haven't seen it. It is exactly like the trailers!!! I enjoyed it and the ending made perfect sense. I've seen horrible movies but this isn't one of them. Life, Love and Death helped all the characters find whay they needed. Solid performance/Solid movie!
