Abbie Cornish

Cannot Act Worth Sh.t... The movie overall was surprisingly good though, but she was a complete boner killer...

reply

Did you know she's Australian? GFY.

reply

Yes, I did.... I know plenty of people from Australia, and the UK that play American parts well.. I think she's beautiful, just didn't do well in this..

reply

If you find Abbie Cornish a "boner killer", then you must not find pretty women attractive....

reply

I said I thought she was beautiful, but her acting was like A cold wet, blanket on my lap.. Read my follow up comment..

reply

Yeah..ABBIE CORNISH ANYTHING CLOSE to a BONER killer??? Maybe you just love Olive Oyl...aorry Popeye's got 'er.

reply

Seconded. Her acting is attrocious. She-speaks-like-she's-rea-ding-from-a-piece-of-pa-per.

reply

Double-Yeah, it really did seem like she was reading from a q-card, while taking Xanax in between breaks.. Everyone else played their part great..

reply

Maybe it's the result of bad direction.. I haven't seen the film yet but Abbie is inconsistent with her performances lately. Her career started off with strong performances in Candy, Bright Star, Somersault, W.E. but seems like the quality roles just aren't coming for her at the moment.

Abbie Cornish is good enough a cornish hen for me though (I do write inspired comments, do I not?)

I though Abbie Cornish did well in this. Her muted emotional appearance fit the character that doesn't remember her life, and didn't even recognize her husband and kid upon waking. I'm sure the director got what he wanted.

I didn't think much of the movie overall, especially once it became clear where it was going. I've seen the childhood abuse/trauma story line play out too many times. As soon as the uncle was introduced and you find out Jane may allegedly killed her whole family, it was clear to me who the real villain was.

I thought the cinematography was nice, and Abbie looked beautiful in all of her closeups. But overall, I give it a 5/10.
