They Gave Away The "Twist" In The Trailer.

What, that Hathaway controls the monster? That's not a spoiler or a twist, that's just the premise.
shareImdb premise: "A woman discovers that severe catastrophic events are somehow connected to the mental breakdown from which she's suffering." No, it's not in the premise. The trailer spoiled it.
shareThen blame IMDB, not the movie itself. If it was a twist, or the filmakers wanted to keep the thing a secret, the trailer would've been very different.
"That was a courtesy flush. I'm not actually done yet"
I don't believe the filmmakers had any say on what goes or doesn't go in trailers.
This one gives away too much, definitely. Reveals one twist (and of course it was a twist), and even worse, spoils one of the best jokes (the dance).
I think it's very likely that the fact she controls the monster will be revealed in the first act of the film - therefore can this really qualify as a "twist"..?
Mr Annnderson.....!
You idiots, that is not the twist. That is just the surface of what's going on. The twist is that her and Jason Sudekis are connected to their respective Kaijus because of a childhood incident, and so they are locked in a metaphorical battle with each other. Basically Jason Sudekis is actually an abusive, drunken dick who manipulates her, intimidates her and ultimately physically harms her, so she kills him. The end.
share100% correct. Well said. Now...if you could only have said all that without calling other people idiots...
