Was this not nominated for best picture?

This film is easily 1 of the top 8-9 films of the year. It was excellent. I'm sort of surprised Jeff Nichols walks away again without recognition. This was handled masterfully. Shame. Fitting for the times as well. Academy missed this one.

I couldn't agree more. Jeff Nichols is one helluva filmmaker and this was probably my favourite of his so far. His low-key approach made the story far more powerful than it would have been in a lot of other filmmaker's hands.
