Nick Kroll is Excellent

Nick Kroll does a great job, he plays one of the ACLU lawyers and he fits the
part so well, you might want to hire him for your next case.
Numerous actors in small roles are impressive and I think several young actors
will see bigger parts come from their work in Loving.
The casting directors deserve great credit for finding so many wonderful
people for the film makers.

I'm interested to see him in a dramatic role.

I agree. It was actually a difficult role because he had to convey the right amount of confidence and insecurity. I wish there had been more scenes of the Supreme Court hearing the case. I think that it would have been fascinating.

~ This is the first time that I've seen Nick Kroll do a serious role. He's done a great performance too. I love seeing him in comedies, but its great to see that Kroll could pull off a drama genre well.

I was REALLY surprised by his work here. There was something about his smirk -- usually employed for more sarcastic purposes - that really worked here. Confident with a hint of naivety.

He was horrible in this and almost ruined the movie for me.

That's one way to look at it. Personally, I think I have watched way too much of "The Kroll Show" and "The League" to ever take Nick seriously.

Agree he was a complete miscast. Why confusing us with that kind of characterization?
