Could anyone tell me why they got a woman who is part Irish and part Ethiopian to play an African American woman?
I know it would be a great acting challenge, but why did they decide on her and not a black woman?

That would make her an African and as AA's
are mixed race as well there's a small diff
Stand an African and AA side by side, there are obvious differences starting with complexion and features, mannerisms

The world treats you by the way you you look, your category. I get it , although phenome and genome doesn't always add up.
MLKJr carries Irish blood , but doesn't appear to.

You're an idiot. No there is no physical difference between an African American and an African. Drop an African American off any where on the West Coast of Africa and they will blend right in with the other West Africans.

She is black. She has black blood therefore society considers her black. In my eyes it doesn't matter. She is extremely, beautiful. During slavery do you think the master's children by their slave women were considered white? Absolutely, not. It's so sad how America, and the rest of the world sees people for their skin color and not their character. Don't you think?
