I think its an insult to compare this case to perversions. The Bible doesn't say anything wrong about interracial couples. But it does speak about homosexuals. If I were black, I would be offended!

The Bible is in many ways outdated. It doesn't say anything wrong about IR couples because back then most people weren't stupid enough to be color-blind when choosing a partner (they chose one of their own, as it is perfectly normal), therefore there wasn't much of a problem to be solved by a holy book.

Regardless of whether or not one approves of gay marriage, the comparison isn't quite even here since gay and straight people don't engage in "mixed marriages" to produce "mixed" children.
I'm mainly talking about how people compare the laws banning interracial couple on par with same sex couples. To me, the case is completely apples and oranges.
